Stop being a nice guy and let this be a lesson to you. Sorry but it looks like he scammed you for the shipping charge and there' s nothing you can do about it now but hope that he pays....Maybe he will, who knows. Good luck

Adam is not a scammer. I sent over $1000 for some items and they came to me just fine. I don't think he would scam you over $72.16 dollars. He is quite busy, have you tried to email or call him?

i assure you he is not a scammer. i have involved with many many transactions with him, even accepting a personal check for $3500. did you pm/email or talk to him? that would be your best bet before accusing him of being a scammer.

$72 to ship a head? that seems excessive. what carrier did you use? ups? fed ex? i have shipped out heads across the country for $22 insured for $1000 via fed ex ground. sounds like you hit him hard on the shipping to me.

If he shipped the head through USPS I would not be surprised that they charged him that much to ship it,.....

FYI ...

I paid Red gsr209 $750 (for the head) + $74.75 (shipping and insurance). Since I had a race coming up, he agreed to send me the head asap. He promised that I would have it by a set date. So, I sent him a Money Order via overnight mail in the amount of $824.75. He e-mails me the following day and tells me that he took the head to Postal Plus (a shipping company in CA). He tells me that Postal Plus would be sending it out the following day and he would call them to get me the tracking number. The next day he e-mails me and tells me that Postal Plus did not mail it yet ... they were still "Boxing" it and they were going to mail it the following day. The next day, he e-mails me again ... Postal Plus still did not ship it yet! I'm getting pretty worried ... I need the head asap for my race. So, he gives me the phone number for Postal Plus. I call them to find out what's taking so long for them to ship it. I end up having to pay Postal Plus an additional $143 to have them send the head Fedex second day. Red gsr209 (Danny) has asked me to reemburse him $72.16 ... the amount that Postal Plus charged over an above our intial agreed upon shipping cost.

So basically, I have paid the following shipping costs: The intial shipping price that we AGREED upon - $74.75 + $143.00 to Postal Plus (to make sure I got the head in time ... even when Red gsr209 had told me that I would have it by a set date ) and now $72.16. That's a grand total of $287.91 in shipping costs!!!!!!

Remind you that we AGREED upon $824.75 shipped for the head. Also, I never told him to take it to a Postal Plus for shipping. Being the nice guy ... I will send him a check for $72.16. I am an extremely busy person with a busy work travel schedule ... so I apologize for the delay. I am being a "good person" by sending you the check. In most cases you would have to suck it up and eat the shipping cost.

THIS is very unacceptable!! imho, $260 too much! Red Gsr209 was lazy in his shipping, and forced adamitr to pay an unruly amount. props to adam itr, as personally, i would have told redgsr to send me my $ back. then to top it off, red gsr209 has to post that adam itr is a scammer? wtf? i think this is plain and simple bullshit.

First of all... Adam is a good guy, and known by many on this board.

Second, Adam is most certainly the person who should be upset in this case, not you. You should have NEVER walked out of the shipping place without a tracking number in hand. Had you stayed there and done this, the whole situation never would have arisen.

I consider myself to be a very honest person, and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have sent you a dime after we agreed upon a shipped price.

Im just asking you guys for suggestion. Im not posting that he's a scammer. I try numerous of time emailing and PM him. NO responds. Until I posted this thread up, he respond really quick. For the shipping cost, I never deal with big shippment before. And postas plus is the closet mailing store by my house. My bad for not taking it to UPS, AIR BORN, ETC....Well, when I got your check, I went to the post office right away. I have no clue why postal plus didnt pack the head and ship it out. Thats why I kept on emailing Adam to inform why they didnt ship it out. Well next time im not going to Postal Plus. Its not my fault guys. Postal Plus should pay for the should pay for the second day delivery. Sorry for misunderstanding Adam. No hard feelings.

anyways, talk to adam already everything is good..

glad it is cleared up.
rodney pretty much said it all up there in his post. no joke!

if you or anyone needs to send anything big... get boxes from a wine store or anywhere that throws cardboard out. Buy a role of clear packing tape, and double wrap the item and even three layers of cardboard! then take it to a Post Office and insure it, get a tracking number and ship it, its SO SIMPLE!!!!
USP and Fedex rule as well, but packaging places are such ripoffs!

i dont care if its cleared up or not. He posted your user name and the word scammer in the subject line of this thread. That enough is enough to scare alot of people off from buying from you. He should give you the check back you sent him, thats bogus. If you agreed to sell him a gsr head, but shipped and LS head, wouldnt he want it corrected? You guys agreed upon something and thats that. Its b.s. that you had to pay more for his laziness.

I think you should return the check. You promised that the head will arrive at a certain date but you brought it to the wrong place.
