going to the track for the first time..........
So I had a 95 Civic Si stock w/ few minor bolt-ons and i was only running like 16s and 15s if i was lucky on a good day. Needless to say it got totaled a few months ago. Recently I bought a 92 Civic Cx 3dr and a 95 B16A hybrid, did some type r head work and now i am going to the race track for the first time w/ my new ride tomorrow. I am expecting low to mid 14s in the quarter at (hopefully) 102 mph. Now to the sad news, my best friend (hookedupgsr) has a 94 Turbo GSR and blew his motor a few days ago. Cant wait till next summer when we drive it back out of our garage and run some low 11s w/ his Turbo ported and polished Type R Motor w/ at least 330 whp and 289 ft lbs of torque!!!!
yeah, mid 14's ought to equal 95-96 mph..
might want to post this in another forum..maybe EG, or drag racing or something...don't see anything EF/CRX related..

well it was an o.k. night.......not exactly what i has hoping for but i feel it is pretty respectable. 1st run: 2.2 sixty foot, 9.6 eighth mile at 75.35 mph, and a 14.871 quarter mile at 93.12 mph. 2nd run: 3.4 sixty foot, 13.25 eighth mile at 70.56 mph, and a 18.366 quarter mile at 91.63 mph.(i missed second gear) 3rd run: 2.5 sixty, 9.7 eighth at 76.30 mph, and a 14.762 quarter at 95.41 mph. 4th run: 2.4 sixty, 8.6 eighth at 76.52 mph, and a 14.783 quarter at 95.70 mph. And my last and BEST run of the day was .... 5th run: 2.815 sixty, 9.891 eight at 77.05 mph, and a 14.698 quarter at 95.95 mph......i am happy, but only till next summer. i have some big plans and i will keep you updated.
thanks for the input. i agree about the 0-60 time but this was also my first time at the track and i am still trying to get used to the car. i just installed a ACT street/drag clutch and i need to get used to the car. I have a LSD and all I do is spin off the line. I tried to launch at 3500 my first run and spun through 1st and second gear. each run after i dropped 500 rpm at launch until I was launching at like 1800 rpm and still have some spin but not alot. I am not sure what i am pushing for horse power right now. Before I did any head work and was pushing 145 whp w/ a stock B16. So yeah I am brobably around 170-180.

get those 60 foots to a consistant 2.2 and youll be strait...with the mods you have it sounds like 14.6 is about right for what u have. what did u weigh in at?

Your best time was a 14.6 with a 2.8 60 ft? 2.8 60 ft is horrible and i dont see how you are you ran a 14.6 with that bad of a 60 ft, but anything is possible I guess.
And that run first run was faster than the 14.8, with a 2.2 60 ft?
Usually the 60 ft time is a deciding factor on how fast the run is going to be, the lower the 60 ft the lower the ET, thats usually how it goes.
One thing to remeber when trying to master lauching, practice makes perfect.
