Its time to get ready for the BAR sticker
Ok, right now i have a obd 0 b16, and i need to switch over to obd I cuz i really want that bar sticker. anyways, i was thinking about just getting the ecu, harness, injectors etc...but my block is a 89, and my car is a 90. So i think i'm just gonna swap a whole new long block in.
If i find an obd I longblock, ecu, and get the wiring harness for it, how difficult would it be to get into my existing car? any kinda of problems i might run in to?

just make sure everything matches and all your equipment hooked up properly.
BAR is Bureau of Automotive Repair. If you pass that, they'll give you a "BAR" sticker which means your swap was registered legally. Meaning you meet the state standard with motor swaps. So if a cop wants to give you a ticket for a swaped motor.. flash him that sticker that will be on the driverside doorjam.

ok...thanx for giving the definition of BAR and why i'd be nice to have it. i didn't really feel like giving it out @ the start
but anyways, does anyone have any suggestions or comments about the wiring? basically, i wanna know if i take a OBDI wiring harness from a DA, EG or DC chassis will it work without mucho headaches in my car? as in...is it something i could easily do myself, or would i have to be a wiring genius?

Why don't you try getting that set up to pass right now before you do any changes. Who knows, you might get an ignorant referree like I did. I Passed with a stock 97 LS running it non-obd. I simply replaced my 1 wire O2 to a 4 wire O2 sensor and told him it's obd2. Just make sure to make your engine bay look stock as possible and motor runs clean.

you think you can find that? its 30 bucks to go to the BAR ref, and i dont wanna go until i'm as ready as possible
