weight of JDM DA bumper supports?
The bumper supports for the front and rear on the JDM DA's don't weigh more than 3lbs max..As far as the USDM ones go I don't know the weight..Sorry
I don't know the weight but it's a big difference. After you switch to the JDM bumper you can use the big white foam piece from your bumper as a bat or something. That thing is solid.
wouldnt that be like asking for trouble if you ever hit anything head first? that foam piece is an energy absorber and without it your car (and that means you too) will take a lot more impact. seems kinda silly when you think about safety and all those drunk drivers and stupid SUV drivers out there.
when i did my EF, I switched to JDM SiR bumpers which do not use any rebars, the weight saving was about 60lbs for front and rear but when i got hit in the front the only thing that stopped the other car was the POS ZC motor, also the even the rear buckled under impact, the bumper just dented itself from impact....
i don't really recommend it unless its for track...also without the rebars the car feels loose, it sort of feels more solid, its like adding good sized strut bars
