if i was looking into buying a used s2000, what would i look for...what price would be reasonable for each year? basically...i just need to know what to look for: mileage, price, condition?

 

-Ask and if the clutch has been replaced and make sure it has been replaced with a 2002+ clutch.

-Of course ask and check for body damage.

-Obtain all service records if possible (make sure the differential fluid has been changed)

-Tire wear

-etc.

 

You should be able to pick up an 00 model for 18-21 and an 01 for 20-23. Check autotrader.com they usually have a lot of S2K's listed there. As far as what to look for...if it's pre 02 make sure any recalls have been done to the car. I believe there was one on the oil jet bolts and the transmission grind (1st - 2nd) but check to make sure this is correct. You can typically find them with low miles and preferably garage kept. I have unfortunately left mine in the texas heat and the paint is peeling and cracking on the front drivers side fender (Warranty is covering this though, 5 year paint warranty).
