Anyone running a stock clutch disk(with any pressure plate) with 200+ WHP?
Just curious how it has held up for you. I have a HD pressure plate, but am looking for a streetable disk that can take an occassional 9500rpm.
I'm using the Spoon unit (which was the same price as OEM here).
It uses a stock disk I think. They CLAIM to have stiffer springs on the PP. My impression is that it is true - but I could be wrong.
The clutch is holding up fine.

Just to let you know, I tried to use a stock ITR disc with an ACT HD pressure plate and the hub of the disc was too big, it hit the inside of the pressure plates face.
I ran the stock clutch for one year after boosting, it was adequate, but started slipping from the onslaught of boost. Held fine for "civilized" driving. I have had the CM stage 3 in for about 1.5 years, and am extremely happy with it, about 3 dozen drag-strip launches later, it still holds like when it was new. The pedal feel is close to stock as well. It's not laborious to drive in traffic either.

The ATS disc must be used with an ATS PP.
And ATS recommends against using their single plate carbon clutch for drag racing.
The combination of the ACT HD PP with their organic street disc is entirely streetable and capable of holding 260 lb-ft. of torque at the flywheel. IMO the car is easier to drive with the ACT HD/SS than it was with a stock clutch due to vastly improved pedal feel. The increase in pedal stiffness is noticable, but entirely reasonable and not difficult in the least to drive daily, even in heavy traffic. I've driven cars with OEM clutches that were stiffer than the HD/SS.
