Stock LS spring able to support an ITR Spring?
My rear shocks are getting a bit soft so i'd like to put my stock ones on again. I have a set of ITR springs that i'd like to use in the mean while. Will this combo work or will the stock shocks bounce the heck outta me
I would use my tokico shocks, however the 1.75 drop would destroy the stock shocks in a week.

The change in spring rate is not that drastic and the springs lower the car mildly. They should hold up

I thought that the ITR springs only lower the car .75"??? If that's the case, you'll be fine running stock shocks for the time being. I ran Eibach Pro-kits on stock shocks when I had my Civic for almost a year, no problems.

I don't get it, do you want to put your stock spring or stock shocks back in? What does Tokico shocks have to do w/ a 1.75 drop?

I'm wondering the same. It doesn't make sense to me.

Good question pat and slomob... my rear shocks are almost gone. The only replacements around are my stock shocks so i wanted to use them for the time being but they definitely wont work with my current springs with the 1.75 drop.
There's a spare set of itr springs laying around so they would work fine for the moment. I didnt want to put on my stock springs because they'd introduce the 5 finger gap in the rear whereas I have barely 2 in the front.
Oddly, I would have thought that my front shocks would go before my rear. hmm one of my suspicious is that ITR sway bar. I notice that the endlink bushings are wearing and cracking. Ive been wondering if this attributed to the shorted life of the rear shocks.
I just had my Nissan Maxima repainted along with a skirt kit and full exhaust system installed and ECU chipped. Funds are shoestring for the next month or so
Thanks again for the responses. They're appreciated!

The rear stock shocks seem like they should hold up fine with rear ITR springs. Only doubt I have is because the rear itr springs are progressive. Here is a little spring rate comparison between the stock and itr:
front spring rate rear spring rate
stock dc 212 lb/in 117lb/in
stock itr 246 lb/in 140-246lb/in
