who adds octane booster when they race?
I have yet to see any significant benefit from octane boost. I would not substitute octane boost in place of race gas to resist knock. If I were you, I would make several passes with pump then add the boost and see if it makes any difference at all. Just don't plan on running race gas boost with 93 octane and a bottle of 104+. Good luck!

True story:
Last year or so, my girlfriend borrowed my Integra to get herself to work one day. It was low on gas, so she thought she'd do me a favor by filling up my tank. Fills it up with a tank of 87, totaly unaware what exactly running 9 lbs of boost with a 12:1 FMU & Stock timing consists of. (Already running extremely lean). Comes over to drop off the car, and tells my roommate of her good deed. "You filled it up with 91, right?" After explaining the situation, and after a bit of a panic on her behalf, my friend says, don't worry, he won't be home for another hour, go pick up some octange booster, and it'll be fine.
That happened to be the friday before a Test n Tune at Bakersfield.
A couple passes, best 13.7@102 on street tires, later... I'm noticing some severe blowby. What the ****. The last pass, I pull my best 60 ft. the at the top of 2nd gear, I heard an odd noise coming from the motor.
Pull into the pits, I had a hunch. Without a compression tester, I couldn't know for sure. So I took out each plug one by one, replacing them as I went. When I removed the plug of #1 cylinder, no change in idle, whatsover. Sweet!
Fried ringlands.
Can't really blame her. But since she sucked overall. I'm going to blame her anyways.
Sorry for the long story, I'm just bored at work.

what about adding toluene? anyone do this? my brother has been doing it in his twin turbo subaru for a while, and when he adds some in, his car seems to run really smooth and strong. he just said you have to get the right portions.
