Default Odd starting problems. Sometimes resolves itself

Hey everyone I have a 96 accord and 98 jdm h22. Ive had the swap for about 2 yrs now. Recently in the last few months, my car you just not start after I go to the store. I would drive there, go inside, get whatever, then it wouldnt start going home. There is no cranking sound...nothing. The only thing I can hear is the fuel pump (walbro) prime. Dash lights up, everything. Then 10 minutes, it would just start up like nothing happened. Then a few weeks later, same story. The car would usually just stall when I come to a stop sign and just die (talk about bad timing). That happened twice and the car started up again.

Yesterday, the car died when I came to a stop light....talk about bad timing. It would not start!!!! I thought that after a few mintues that it would start again like before, but it didnt. i waited about 15 min before calling anyone, but then some dude stopped and the car started when we jumped it.

Is my battery bad? Or is it something else? When it first died, I changed the cap and rotor (about 2-3 months ago). In total, it has happened 3 times, first 2 times starting up on its own, last time didnt.

I noticed that on my LM-1, the voltage went down to about 11.xV when it died. Could this be due to the UR crank pulley?

This is quite annoying, I dont ever want to take my car out for fear that I wont get home or that I will be stranded with someone else in the car. Battery I would estimate to be about 2 yrs old also, no acid anywhere. No problems for the first 1.7 yrs with the battery.

How did you know that it was the starter? Do you think this is a possibility that I have a fidanza flywheel which I installed just prior to these problems?

hey dvp95... there is a current recall for this problem you are having....if you go into a honda dealer the recall is called ignition recall...what happens is that the igintion sometimes get to hot and will intermittently turn off even while driving....

let me know if you cant find out any more info on the recall...if honda wont do the recall for you because of the h22 swap let me know and I'll get you the part number so you can install it yourself

Music to my ears! Is this for all 5th gens? I thought that was a 6th gen thing. Can you just give me the part # because I dont like to tell people how to start my car and its not the usual way. Is it a costly part? If its cheap, ill do it and save time. Thanks again.
