Default My new DC4!

Hey everyone, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Josh and I just traded my Del Sol in for an Integra. I love it!!! It is only an RS (DC4) model but it is still faster than the Sol. I am wondering though, will body components from the DC2 fit my DC4? I am specifically interested in the JDM front end conversion but all I ever see is the conversion for the DC2. Can someone help a brother out?

Hey Josh,

welcome to h-t. Good thing you traded...your sol for an integra.
jdm itr conversion (dc2) as you refer it, is for all 3rd gen integras' 94-01.
The fenders bolts up, usdm radiator support needs to be drilled/taken out, and jdm radiator support needs to be welded on in place of the old radiator suport. That's the only major modification you'll have to do. the rest just kind-of bold on.
exhaust 94-98 rs/94-01 ls/95-96 se/97-01 gs/00-01 gsr/97-98..00-01 type r...exhuast system is interchangable...ie..hader.cat.b-=pipe/axel back.
94-99 gsr exhaust system is a little shorter.

basicly everyhting else is interchangable also.

DC4 is the same as a DC2 only diff is the DC4 is better IMO cause its the lightest of all the integra's so if your like me and plan on doing a motor swap its the best car to have on the DC4

Wow. So even like ITR throttle bodies and stuff like that will fit my car with no major mods? Where can I get the ITR strut bars and stuff?

Ok, another question, what is the difference in a down pipe and a header? Also on a RS, what design header works better, 4-1, or 4-2-1? Im guessing 4-2-1 b/c of the mid range power gains but Id like other opinions.

A downpipe is usually the common term used when you have a turbo setup. You have your turbo manifold, and the downpipe bolts to that and leads to the cat/exhaust. Sometimes you'll hear people use the term when describing the bottom half of a header, but I think A pipe is a better term.

As far as your choice of a header, go for the 4-2-1. The 4-1 design is made for top end, so unless you'll spend all your time dragging at the track, you won't benefit from it as much as you would with a 4-2-1.

Use the search function on this board, you'll be surprised at all the answers you'll get for your questions.

welcome aboard. and congrats on the car

what are your goals for the car?

also, id also say that a 4-2-1 is the best setup unless your building your car for drag. im rolling around with the toda header and i give it ......let us know your goals and we can help you out with some ideas.

Do you have proof of this?

There is no significant difference in the coupe models unless it's the Type R.
