CRVtec B20/Vtec Transmission tranny?
I'm curious as to what tranny you guys are using with your crvtecs. B20 hydro tranny, b16 cable or hydro, b18 tranny? Or am I stupid and they are the same besides cable and hydro?
I'm looking to piece a crvtec together by spring and I can get a block package cheap but comes with no tranny so I need to decide on what I want. I'm driving a CRX Si (but it might go in an HF) and it's going to be a summer driver and weekend drag basically (there's not autox around here...*weeps*)
TIA

Exactly guys. You got to remember if you recomend a hydro tranny then you will have to factor in hydro conversion.
1. 92-93 GSR
2. 88-91 JDM b16

if you can find yourself a JDM ys1 with the lsd get it, it's the best tranny out there for a crx or any cable tranny car. if you plan on running the car everyday, i would swap out the fith gear, for one from the 92-93 usdm ys1 ls tranny. that will keep your highway rpm really low. right now i'm running a LS ys1, with a 00 ITR lsd, ls 1/2, ITR 3/4, and ls 5th.
