Default How to paint my interior and dye my carpet?

I'm getting a new-used car soon and the interior in that thing is horrible. It's mixture of light grey and black. I would like to paint it to stock looking black if possible? what kind of paint can I use?

Also it has a ugly and dirty *** greyish white carpet which i would also like it to be black.

Let me know if any of you actually have done this.

I don't care about show-stopping mirror quality painted interior. I just want that stock grooved/crinkled look in black.

Let me know.

Because I'm not a baller like you. j/k

As much as I would like to get all these carpet and dash parts brand new from the dealership, that would actually cost me more than my car's worth.

I've heard of people that has dyed their car carpet before. No one has personal experience?

Also about the car paint, is it durable? or is it gonna start flaking like crazy after couple of months?

Ya Krylon paint will last but a clear coat or 2 will make it last even longer. I painted my light silver crx interior black with blue accents and it turned out amazing

im interested about that interior paint too... i have that dreadful burgundy interior in my 91 accord... it kinda grew on me already so its no big deal but the idea of having black interior is always in th back of my head... its just the fabric and seats that i have to worry about...

...i wouldnt recommend dying carpet my friend did this... the stench will kill you... you can get carpets here for cheap in any color or fabric http://www.carpet4cars.com/

^n/m^ i forgot my friend didnt dye his carpet he painted it but I still recommend a new one... you can dye the fabrics and seat covers though... prolly the seat belts too... just do it properly
