I heard that if you buy a red car or repaint your car red, your insurance will get more expensive? True or not??

I want to paint my civic red, that's y.

 

Red cars might have higher preimiums if it's a sportscar. I'm positive that repainting it won't raise your rates unless it states that in your insurance contract.

Wouldn't it have been easier to call your insurance agent than post this on Honda-Tech?

well, it is a proven fact that red cars get pulled over more frequently than any other car. i guess it just catches the cops eye, and the color of red supposedly represents an agressive driver.

so i wouldnt doubt it if your insurance raised your premium.. but that doesnt mean i think its fair.
