Default Lesson learned

i have always had a honda...when it came time to get rid of the GSR/EG i wanted an R but thought i wouldn't be able to afford it with payment plus insurance.. so i bought an EP. well i found this today http://nissanatlantic.cogginau...o.com and immediately called my ins to see how much it would go up....only 84 ever 6 months...i was going crazy... so i figured i could trade in the EP and wind up with cheaper payments....well unfortunately it was sold two days ago.....so if anyone happens to see one for sale at a dealership, or wants to trade for an EP be sure and let me know....wish i would have realized how cheap an R can go for...always thought they were 18k and up....well lesson learned

That's a deal of a lifetime, but you're right, most R's do go for around 18K, some people get suckered and pay even more. I researched R's for 2 years before I bought mine this summer and never came close to a price like that, it seems kinda fishy to me...........just my .02

its a nissan used car lot...
the dealer prolly thinks its just a regular integra and price it according to the bluebook, which we all know doesn't reflect the true value of the R

Hmmm, maybe someone's cool mod, but then again...

"cloth interior" ??

"map light" ??

It does have 67M on it tho.

Does the carfax say "Type R" in the description?

Do the drivers door jamb VIN stickers, dash vin plate, and vin in the motor compartment on the firewall all match?

Sounds Fishy but the VIN says its a Type R

Just because the Title is clean doesn't mean there was never a problem. Just that it wasn't REPORTED.

Don't beat yourself up over it. A friend of mine in the States bought his for about that price it was 2001 and it also had a clean title. The engine had problems but he knew it before hand.
