My radiator fan stopped.... what could have happened?
My temp gauge went above the red mark, so i pulled over. I thought I was out of coolant, but I was fine. Then I noticed my fan wasn't going. Is there a fuse or anything? I can spin it with my hand, but it won't keep going. Is there any way of testing it either? Need help ASAP. Thanks much.

If it doesn't run when you jumper the fan switch, then you could run 12v power wires right from your battery to the fan motor. If the motor still doesn't run, then you've got a bad motor.

How do you jumper the pin connectors on the fan? What am I supposed to unplug and use the paper clip on? Is this the peice that plugs in where the lower radiator hose meets the block under the distributor?
Engine coolant temp sensor maybe. That's what happened to me. It's a really cheap part and easy to replace. In the meantime, you can wire to any source that is 12v while the car is running. I wired mine to the lighter and installed a switch until I could track down the problem. Worked fine.

(I don't know what car you have...) Unplug the connector & jumper the connector with a paper clip.

just go to the car, wire the fan with a 12V source and see if it comes on, if it doesn't come back and tell us, stop listening to people, they all said this and that, start checking it for yourself, start with the easy stuff to check and then climb up, do you have a helms?
