exact a-pipe length differences: RS/LS/ITR vs 94-99 GSR
i know this topic has probably been already covered...in fact, i remember it has but i cannot find it (diagrams).
anyway, i need to know the exact length difference as described in the title; i got a good deal on a non-vtec neuspeed n2 header but i have a '98 gsr. i'm wondering if cutting the header is even a feasible option once i get the measurement.
is the a-pipe mounting bracket and flange placement axially the same for non-vtecs and gsrs?
OR
being that i want to avoid getting a new cat, could cutting the b-pipe or getting an rs/ls/itr b-pipe be another option? i know my stock '98 gsr cat will mount closer to the rear of the car...will the wire lengths on the O2 sensors reach that far?
thanks for the input.

The gsr is shorter than the ls,gs,and rs I have a 94 rs with a c1 motor and I had to get the cat and the exhaust for a gsr but it your only getting a header I wouldnt cut it I would just modify the cat get a gsr cat unless your running without one.
thanks. i tried looking at team-integra.net but the link for the a-pipe differences is dead...
i bought the header online and haven't received it. but i attached a pic of the actual header and the cuts i think i will have a shop do.
thoughts?

I wouldn't recommend cutting the header at all. The easiest and simple solution is to cut a few inches off your existing b-pipe.
The ITR, LS, and 00+ GSR have equal length a-pipes.
94-99 GSR is shorter than the rest.
IIRC, the difference in size is approximately 2 inches.

are the lengths of the O2 sensor wires going to be an issue?

i would leave the header along and just add a o2 housing tap on it nad shorten your current gsr piping so u be ready for a jdm itr header later on or soemthing downline it will a be direct bolt on..................
so basically don't cut the header add an o2 sensor housing there will be a whole on your cut plug that thing or get a high flow cat and shorten your GSR piping so it can compensate for the extra distance from the header.............if u don't want to deal with it just take it to muffler shop all together so they can extend it and figure it out

thanks guys...
i think the header should already have an o2 bung since it's made for an ls...
so, my next questions are:
confirm thread size & pitch for O2 sensor: M18 x 1.5
i was planning to buy a catback also...will an ls/itr catback bolt-up for the correct length and hangar position if i leave the ls header as is?
