Question regarding tuner lugs
Hey all, thanks in advance for your help. I think I know the answer to this question already, but I just want some confirmation. If I'm lucky, I could save some more diagnostic $$$
For the past half year or so, I've been trying to shake a 'shake' in my 1994 supercharged Corolla. (Sure, not a Honda question, but this board is the most knowledgeable on tech issues).
I've replaced axles, ball joints, alignment, bearings, brakes, wheels...,but the shaking / jostling is not completely gone.
Earlier this year, on my Rota SS 15", I switched from the hex-key tuner lugs to the normal acorn style lugs. My question is, do these rims require the tuner lugs for centering? I thought the acorns would be fine, as both styles have tapered ends.

Rotas are designed to be used with "tuner-style" tapered seat lug nuts, not acorn-style. The tapered seats do help with centering, especially if you are not running hubcentric rings (which I never did, and never had a single problem).
