HR Sport Spring rubbing issues
what do you mean by rubbing issues?? the tires rub, the upper arm rub? when i put my camber kit on, the upper arm stuck out a lot, so when i hit a dip, it would rub against the car. that wasnt anything wrong with my H&R springs. i just shaved off part of the upperarm so it doesnt stick out as much to rub against the car. let me know if i confused you. i can take some pics when i get my digital cam back.

everytime i see u post that the h&r sports lowered your car 3" it makes me think twice about running those springs with my agx's..arent they only supposed to drop 1.75 front and 1.50 rear or vice versa..but i dont want to deal with a camber kit either and eventually wanna slap 17 on the teg....any suggestions? lol

I'm running H&R sport with AGX and 195/55/15 generic cheapo tires, no camber kit and only rubbed a couple times at full crank. Haven't heard it for a while though.
Also PatrickGSR94 is the only person I've ever heard that has had that problem with Sports. Yes the H&R do sag a little (mine dropped down to about 2" - 2.25") but never heard anything like 3". I've seen your proof in pics but it still shocks me.

Tire rubbing fenderwell? What size tire/wheel combo? What offset?
I've run 195-55-15's on stock wheels, and 205-45-16's on aftermarkets with a 45mm offset with no problems. I don't yet have my camber kit installed. BTW, H&R Sports on stock shocks.

i definately see your point. I'm happy with my sports, but want something stiffer so i'll be switching some time when i'm not poor

another killer for me is right now i have no clue what springs are on my car...when i bought the car i was like cool its dropped a lil...maybe 2 inches at the most...but it handles really good..just seems to be harsh when hitting bumps..other than that ide keep these springs if there was a way to smooth out the ride a lil on bumpy roads...new bushings in the shock towers maybe cause thats where i hear the most noise from the impact of bumps and could be hurting the shocks performance ...my guess...lol

I'm dropped just as low as he is (on AGX's + spoon springs) and I dont rub either. However steep driveways are a problem.

can the rubber shock tower bushing cause the ride to be a bit more harsh than it should if the need replacing...also how would u tell...if i stand behind my car with the hatch open and push down on the car quick and hard...the left shock stays put but the right one seems to bounce up a lil like the rubber bushing i see isnt thick enough or something..hope that understandable..lol

If I remember right, Patrick's on the stock perch in the front.

Sounds to me like there is a problem with the washer that goes underneath the shock rod bushings that keeps them in place in the upper mount instaead of poking up through the mount.

My springs have not sagged at all that I can tell. It's the same drop now as it was when I first installed them.
As for the 3" number, I determined that by comparing my car to a stock GS-R of the same year, and also by measuring the overall height of my car and comparing that to the spec listed in the Helm's manual.
If only the springs were stiffer, I'm sure it would be great. But I just want to do what I should have done in the first place and get GC's w/ custom spring rates. I should have saved up a little more and got those to begin with.

but everything hops...
example..the shock rod, rubber bushing, the washer that sits on the bushing, the nut...it all hops together...not much but the other side doesnt...also when looking at both shock towers in the rear the right bushing( one that hops ) looks different and not as thick as the other...and i thought all this was related to my springs but i actually dont think it is but rather bushing issues of some sort...by the way thanks to everyone here thats taking the time to understand and help out..

There is another washer that goes on the shock rod BELOW the bushings. If it's not on there, or damaged, the shock rod is free to push up through the upper shock mount and push the bushings up like what you said.
See this diagram of the rear shocks, you should have 2 bushings #17 that fit into the upper mount #11, w/ a washer above the bushings #1, and then a washer below the bushings #15. If that #15 is not there then the rod and bushings will push up through the mount. If yours is on there it could possibly be damaged.

so i think im gonna go ahead and replace numbers 1,17...which other washer are u refering to...(3,4,or 15)...thanks..
never mind u beat me to it..lol thanks...im gonna replace 1,17,and 15 if it it still feels bad its gotta be the springs...
yeah, looked under the wheel well at lunch time and saw some rubbing inside the wall by the shock tower and on top of the fender liner. it rubs when making a right like when i exit off the freeway or when i hit the corners fast enough it will rub
