I have EK4/9 coilovers which Im using on my EF/DA. The EK rear lower control arm mounting point bushings are wider than that of the EF/DA. Therefore I need the EK rear lower control arm bushing kit. My question is; Do the EK bushings have the same diameter as the EF/DA ones?

So the EK control arm busing diameter is smaller. So I should just order the EF/DA ones and use aluminum spacers. Thanks.
no. primoEF is saying the EK bushing is smaller/thinner in length than the EF/DA one. the diameter size, i'm not too sure about. good question. if you wanted to use the EK rear suspension on your EF/DA LCAs, then you'll need to shave down the strut bushing on the LCA. OR maybe EK strut LCA bushings will fit in there, given the same diameter, like you asked. sorry i cant help. just wanted to clarify the response.

In this case, Im talking about bushings, and the EF/DA bushings are the same (same shock, strut size, control arms). And suspension companies often combine the two models (in Japan anyway) when selling tower bars, strong bars, lower tie bars, end links ...because the share the same chassis. And by adding the two in my description Im improving my chances of someone beeing able to help with my quiry. Different car, yes! but thats not the topic.

Anyhow, call up Energy Suspension and see if the poly bushings metal collar measurements (length) are available. Anyone can compare the two kits (EK vs. EF / DA) and tell you what the length of the metal collar is that the lower shock mounting bolt goes thru.
wish I knew the answer for you... sorry.

You're right. We need to stop throwing around the EF/DA terminology, when unecessary. Very similar suspension parts, BUT not the same.
There's enough internet confusion. But I do believe that the LCA bushings are the same.

^ werd, I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just trying to keep someone that does not have any knowledge on this subject from reading this post and thinking that the DA parts are interchangable. The struts/springs for the DA and EF are not the same either, the DA has taller of both. ON the EK chassis, at least in NA the SI has smaller width bushings than the other models to try and incease stiffness.
the EF and DA LCA's are not the same. they dont use the same bushings. the DA uses a bigger bushing than the EF. trust me i tried to use my prothane bushings for my EF in my DA LCA's and they dont fit

Thanks for the insightfull information everyone. I decided to go with the DA bushings and simply shave them to fit the EK coilovers.
