clean bodykits for 99-00 coupes....any out there?
I'm looking for a nice clean bodykit for my coupe. All the garbage I've seen so far looks all ninja style and ****. I like the c-west kit. I have a type r lip now but It's all banged up and my rear bumper's cracked from an accident. I'm looking for a bodykit cause I gotta replace the bumpers anyways. Anyone have any pics of their coupes? Suggestions?
What's the big deal with authentic? Good fitting replicas with good paint is better. Save the rest of the money for other stuff. My Cwest front is a replica, it was only $150, perfect fit and needed next to nothing in terms of prep work.
have you had a full sized suitcase from 10 feet high fall ontop of your cwest kit? i have, and there was not a scratch.
i doubt you can say the same about yours. not to knock on it, but there is a difference in strength. mine is 3 stage 3 layer fiber glass.. yours....isn't.
btw: if anyone is looking for an Authentic C-west front for a 96-98 civic.. PM me.

I'm sure there is a difference in strength but i doubt that is gonna happen to me. Mine is pretty strong, It's flexible too. Even if it does, fiberglass is fixable. How much is an authentic Cwest anyways? For $150 a piece I'm sure I could buy at least 3 of my replicas.

Did you put it on yourself, or did the installer say it was a perfect fit? Also was $150 for brand new without a connection? Also you have to watch out for a lot of the "look a likes" because they do fit horribly. Why do you think they say, should be installed by a professional? Its because they don't fit right and you need a professional to mod them to fit the car right. Even happend with my buddies WW RS II lip kit for his 4dr teg. Although the installer is a perfectionist, you just have to watch out when not buying authentic.
(Yes I know WW is authentic but it still shows that you really have to be aware when buying body kits or even lip kits.)

i'm not saying the extent of my incident will happen to you. but when you hit an unsuspecting pot hole.. i'll bet my front end vs. yours that my authentic one would hold up much better. 150 a piece times 3? + paint(3) + pain in the *** for even having to go through with it(3)

I'm not saying you're stupid for buying authentic or anything. If you hit a pothole, you're going to have to repaint too unless you're using some kind of indestructible paint that no one else knows about. And although mine might not be as strong as yours, the paint is the same and fiberglass is fiberglass, it's fixable.
it comes down to preference. you DO get what you pay for. no ones arguing about that. but to some, having the peace of mind is enough justification. some might not be able to afford that peace of mind, so a look a like will do just fine. c-west, whether real or fake, looks great
