I have the opportunity to buy a set of Top Fuel cams for around $200US, with only 4,000km on them. The cams are for B18C1... they are new cams not old cams regrinded to Top Fuel spec... Will they fit a B16a? What else will I need to do to make the most of them? Has anyone tried Top Fuel cams before?

 

yes, they will fit your b16, you should upgrade the valvesprings asap, and get some cam gears to tune them down

 

Am I going to need to machine the cylinder head?

Any idea if they will fit the B20B I'm building at the moment? (i couldnt resist, the short blocks are so cheap over here... US$500!!)

 

no, they won't fit the b20, unless you are using either a b16, or b18c head

 

Heheh sweet... The b20 is being fitted with a milled out B16a head...
Do you think it's worth fitting them tho... racing cams = power at high revs? B20 = not designed for high rev?
