Hey guys, I am going to be rebuilding my motor(b18c1) soon, and I want to know if I should be ok with clearance issues(piston to valve) if I get the mugen or spoon 2 layer headgasket...

My internals..
JDM ITR pistons
Eagle Rods
ENDYN headwork
Jun3 cams/valvesprings
Portflow retainers
ITR intake valves..

Are any of you guys running these gaskets? Do they seat as well as the factory ones because I sure as hell dont want an oil leak...I did a search by the way..

you shouldn't have any clearance issues. I will be running the headgasket in my car whenever i get it from ipsracing.

As far as i know the 2 layers seal fine, the 1 layers probably won't' do as good a job.

 

You will have no clearance problems at all . I have the 2 layer gasket from Spoon and it works great.

 

Mine works too.



There were only clearance issues when I broke the timing belt and bent all the valves. Heh heh.
