question about insurance in florida
ok well im not too worried about destroying a bike if i get one and not having insurance bc i plan on just getting some old beginners bike for cheap. but the question i do have is what happens if you get into an accident and your at fault? cant you be sued for everything you got or is there some kind of law down here to prevent this?
^ no i dont think so, my cousin said that he has no insurance whatsoever. ive been trying to get a straight answer from him but cant get a hold of him. and do you guys know for a fact that you can be sued? that was the first thing that came to mind to me but why would they have a law saying that you dont need insurance if this can happen? sounds stupid to me.

No, you're not required to carry ANY insurance for M/C's in FL...
if you want to ride w/out a helmet, you need to carry a certain amount....

Like Jason said.. You don't need to have ANY insurance unless you plan on going helmet-less. Than you $10,000 bodily insurance.
But I would say get at least liability. Cause if you don't insurance and you go crashing into some guys brand new ferrari and the damages are like $100,000. Unless your rich how you gonna get the money? Thats when if he wants he can sue you for all you have just to fix his car. Liability will cover damages you inflict on other people or their property. So the insurance won't fix your bike or pay for YOUR medical bills.
But go with liability. It was 640 something for the whole year...
BTW quick question... when is the whole thing where I can only post 5 times in a 24 hour period going to end?
