I am getting tired of looking at my license plate on the front bumper
If the plate was located in front of the black plastic gril would that affect the car in any bad ways? I mean will it cause the car to overheat or give a loss in power due to less air?
Anyone have any pics of relocated license plates?

how strict are cops in your area?
it's illegal in CA to not have a front plate, but i've had mine off on both of my cars for a long time now and don't plan on putting them back. looks so much better

Very! I purchased the car from NC and they don't have front plates. I had my Maryland tags for no less then a week untill I got pulled over and slapped with a $50 ticket
I even told the officer that I did not have bolts to hold the plate on yet and had it sitting on my passenger seat. Damn cops why can't they give me a break?

I can't remember if i saw it here. But there was someone or someplace selling these brackets that allowed you to mount it anywhere on the bumper. So like you could put it off to the side or something. Otherwise depending on the state you have to have a front bumper, you could keep it on your dashboard, but if you get pulled over you better have a good story or be prepared for another ticket
its illegal in NY to have no front plate either but ive had mine off for over a year now and no problems... do what i did, take the plate and bracket off, go to a acura dealership and ask for front bumper plugs (they come on the car when its new) get the color you need and be on your way. It looks much cleaner then having open screw holes that will just rust.

Would it still be visible like the way it is up front?

i have my plate mounted in the grill. you know that bracket that holds the bottom to holes of the plate, well turn it upside down and use it to mount the top 2 holes instead. i now have the bottom holes of the plate cable tied to the grill because it was scraping my new lip. it's now angled more towards the back. the top of the plate is further out than the bottom. looks good imo.
(old pix of it only connected with the top 2 holes)

I live in NJ (no front plate is illegal) and I haven't gotten a ticket yet and I've been plateless all summer. Same with my friend with his s2000, no plate for about 2 years and no tickets.

haha seriously hang them on zip ties so when your going the air will push back on the plates and it'll swing in-wards... well thats what they do in tokyo so they won't get caught by traffic camera's... seen it done to a RSX with a c-west front bumper here in cali

True, if we go anywhere fishy I don't take my car out. I do drive alot during the day and night sometimes and pass by cops regularly, still no tickets (knock on wood) When I'm at work I park right outside the door so I can see it almost all day. The only time it is alone is when I am at school, I always get the very first spot though so security can see it and people walking by and people leaving the lot pass by it so maybe a thief will think twice.

please dont put them on the dash board. The law states that the licence plate must be held in place by screws on the front bumper. Any diviation from that is illegal. I've seen too many people getting their neck cut by licence plates when they get into accidents

i got pulled over last month for having no plate.........i didnt want to mount it in the front, so i just threw it in the corner of my windshield..RICER style yo! That only lasted less than a week......cop pulled me over, said i had improper mounting of the front license plate...i acted like i never knew we were supposed to have one....but i told him i'll mount it as soon as i get home, and he let me off! He was a dick at first, but then was cool for letting me go! But i'm in the same boat w/ you......i dont like mounting it on my bumper!

You can also bend the bracket back when you do that to slant it down.
I just zip tied mine in the grill

shiet, you were lucky...I got a big fat $55 dollar tocket...I even told the bastard someone backed into me and he still gave me the ticket, hell I was lying but it sounded decent, the bracket is bent
. I would have put it on right there if he had let me

I keep my plate and bracket in my car at all times this way I can be like "Oh, I didn't know there was a law saying you have to have it on.. Can I put it on now?" :X
no problem. You'll have to slightly bend the plate but its not noticable. Also I went around the edges with 2 layers of electrical tape. Just in case the plate got loose I didn't want the metal edges rubbing against the paint
If you get the zipties tight enough the plate isn't on the painted part though.

I was thinking about covering the holes with one of those little metal name plates. Unfortunately the only 2 that I know of are ones that say NEUSPEED and TEAM-INTEGRA.NET which don't really appeal to me. a honda-tech plate on the other hand...
