JIC FLTA2 Info needed
RSX/EP3 JIC owners, what are the modifications needed to install, and what are the spring rates?
Also, who sells the EP3 application? I can only find the RSX. Any info would be appreciated.

Flex's are a direct bolt-in for the EP3--no modifications to car or shocks.
The Tein SS needs holes enlarged.
And not DOT approved? You lost me there. Since when does any aftermarket suspension say DOT approved. I think you're over-analyzing things.

I have the Jic magic rs suspension, but I have yet to put it on my car yet. I am in my first season of autox and these suckers are just seating in my room along with the azenis, and comptech header. I want to be sure that I developed the skills before upgrades. Btw, the jic flta2 is a direct bolt on if you get it for the ep3, assuming thats what you have. My sping is customized, with race dampers and helper springs.

The only rust issue is that you should never see any
I have these on my dc5, and I got them after talking heavily with a lot of other coilover owners. They seemed like the best compromise between track/street driving. Not too stiff for the streets, and not too soft for the track. You shouldnt have any problems installing them on ur car, provided u purchase ur model specific application.

Is that for the EP kit?
Heh, I knew the JIC guy wasnt sure when he told me 9lbs.
I called Tein, and they say the whole package is 63lbs (including the box and the wrenches, so give or take a couple)
NOW we're getting some good info! Thanks!

Goodknight, what did you pay for your set? Just curious because I am applying to become a JIC dealer, and the discounts look pretty fair.
I can ask my rep about EP3 availability and spring rates monday.

Yep, I wonder the same, George. Currently, Im planning on going with the JICs with stepped up springs. (cost $90 extra per corner). I like the Mugen setup, but I want to twiddle and adjust everything.
Muse, it looks like at first, JIC was offering an RSX kit only, that required some cutting and RSX control arms to work on the EPs. Now, apparently since Sept. or so, they have a specific application for the EP that bolts right on (probably some slight clearance and steering boss changes were made to the RSX versions).
I am anxious to get a good setup, but Im trying like hell to be patient and give KW a chance to present thier V3's late November.

Okay, well there is an EP3 Specific Kit, and they are currently available in the FLTA2 (inverted monotube, 15-way adjust) . I was told that the spring rates come the same as the RSX (8k front and 9k rear) but you will be tweaking that as well.
I'd like to post my price but I am only allowed to post 10%off list, PM me though, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Looking at the spring rates you've quoted, I am wondering why more people don't just get the no-brainer Mugen Sport Showa Suspension.
?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Mugen Sports just have zero adjustability in every aspect, thus making them nothing better than a good street suspension IMO. Not cutting on them, but they are what they are. If you plan on doing nothing more than driving your car daily and want a good matched damper set, then Mugen is the answer. But if you like to tweak your suspension (camber, shocks, ride height), look somewhere else.
And I see my guess on the weights of the Tein Flex was decently accurate.
