I have a garret t3 turbo that came off a 2.3L ford. I havent got everything to start putting the project together on my 92 GSR, but I'm wondering now if this is the turbo I need. I've searched and searched, and I think what I really need is the guys that know their stuff to reply.

I want to make around 240-250 whp for right now on a stock B17A1 tuned with hondata. My setup will be something like this: 3 inch thermal muffler, 2.5 inch downpipe, a manifold that wont be the drag-style, tial 38mm wastegate, AEM fuel rail, and some 450 or 550 injectors. (I'm doing internals next summer) Is my turbo gonna be good enough to make that power?

I'm new to boost, so I still have a lot to learn, but maybe someone can at least point me in the right direction with this?

 

That T3 turbo is kind of small. My friend had one on his GS-R and it spooled up quick but top end power sucks.

 

i agree the t3 is too small you are going to run out of power top end

 

yeah, probably too small for your B18C1. I'd go with something like a T3/T04B if you're looking for 250.

 

he doesnt have a b18, he has a b17

You should still see 230-240whp tuned with a T3, it'll be huffing at high rpm though.
