ZC swap running...FINALLY!!!
I finally got my ZC swap running! I had major timing issues and figured them out. It still sputters when I first set foot on the gas but thats due to cam timing being off a degree on intake and exhuast. It will be fixed as soon as I get new tools. (Broke 3 sockets and two 1/2" rachets), thanks to all who helped me!!! I still have to readjust the cam timing but Im set. Ive done my first dpfi-mpfi, clutch/flywheel swap and ZC motor swap-and it took many moons but I should be on the roll today. Ill have pics up soon and again I really appreciate the help from everyone who gave me reasonable input.
I know exactly how it feels man, to do all those things for the first time.. did it all in my garage and took me a couple weeks too. Congrats to u, seriously.
My ZC sputters a lil each time I give it gas, like even when I let off for a shift and give it more after the shift, it'll sputter. I replaced my fuel filter and it fixed that problem, I was so happy, then the problem came back a week or two later. My cam timing is dead on but I know my ignition timing is all f'd up. Anyone have this prob and succesfully fix it? (not trying to hi-jack, the answer would help HondudEf too)

Triple check your cam timing, then try doing a search on the Sensor on your Throttle body. Make sure it isn't damaged. I say search because you can check this but I don't remember the procedure for it. And check the obvious tune up stuff. Like make sure your vacume lines are properly hooked up. Its easy to reverse a couple of them. Just a few ideas, things like this are usually something simple.
Took 4 hours to strip my old DX engine harness to pieces, strip the ZC cut harness to pieces, graft cut and rewrap the harness and make changes to the ECU plugs. Another day to pul old motor and drop in new one. And one day to preplace the seals on the mains cam covers and pan gasket, and valve cover before I installed it. Spent one day and 4 busted 1/2inch craftsmen breaker bars and ratchets before I broke out Oxy-acetylene torches to get a uncoporative axel nut off. Total 4 days Working completely alone. To have old DX motor out and new ZC in and having it road worthy.
Word of advice, get a header, and catback, at the very least get the catback, biggest single improvement to this car that I have seen. Would have done it 2 years ago if I had known stock DX exhaust was holding back that much of a change. Headers helped a bit more and CAI a bit more. Jury is still out on a MUGEN chipped PM7. I am waiting delivery on it, and Have my ZC cam cores to get reground by EF-1 for a hot street.
Power is intoxicating.
