Default Anything you regret about buying a integra?

Hey I'm looking for a new car, something a little bit "Higher class" than a 4g hatch... just curious if there is anything that you really dislike about your teg and if there are any known common problems (suspension, rust, etc)? I'm debating between cars, and I just need a nice daily driver to get back and forth to school and work (over 100 miles a day!!!)

TIA

i hate my cupholder... it doesn't fit anything bigger than a medium, and will not hold 20 oz. bottles of soda...

Getting my daughter in and out of her carseat in a GSR coupe isn't easy. Anyone wanna trade me their GSR sedan?

I don't even use to cupholders, i use the center console, works perfectlya nd never spilled anything

Integra is a great choice, for a nice daily driver and has a great aftermarket if you choose to mod it later on Only downfall I see is the theft rate

i love my honda, but here are the two things that would make me look at other cars if i'm in the market again:

1. THEFT
2. insurance

that's about it. the minor problems that have happened to my car (burnt out headlight housing), and cup holders not being able to hold a large bottle, are just bad luck and ergonomics. i don't think many people lug around 64 oz big gulps in japan nothing else has went wrong with my car, and it's the best car i've ever owned.

i know a lot of guys with kids and tegs. when they run errands and make quick stops...getting her in and out of the car is a hassle. get an SUV, it'll be way easier.

hmm the only think i don't like is the little room in the backseat. kinda hard to transport friends. but hey, its a sport coupe - forget my friends!

cup holders is the only thing I can think of. but i don't bring beverages in my car anyway so that holds out well.

the backseat being small is a downfall for rear seat passengers (getting their damn feet all over your front seats ). this is the reason i think i am going to take out my rear seats...so nobody can ride in the back.

up here in maine the insurance isn't bad at all on my gsr, and i've got a security guard watching mine under a spotlight and a full anti-theft system. if you have a garage then of course your all set

i say get a teg. there great cars. this is by far the best car i've ever owned (all around, every which way), i wouldn't trade my car for anything.

1. Theft (9/6/03)
2. Cupholders
3. Armrest pad gets in the way of my shifting sometimes
4. I hit my head on the roof

Would I buy it all over again??? YES!!!

thanks for the input so far, seems like theft is pretty high and would definately require me to get full coverage insurance ($$$ at my age)

What models are you using that your insurance is so high? I was thinking about just getting a GS or an LS to lower the rates, and swap in a GSR motor or something to keep the rates low and have a lighter car

What years are recommended? I really want to stay under 10k, preferably much less than that and I know I want the newer body style 94+

THIEVES
No Room
Leather seats get very hot in summer. Cloth gets very dusty.
Too Many People have them.
Backseat plastic piece in the middle. What the hell is that for?

Personally, i think youre asking about our qualms for the integra and not what we are regretting. I mean, its not like we can regret having honda design their cup holders too small... So here are my gripes.

Jiggly driver's window

Unusable rear seat

Dim dashboard lighting

Road noise from the rear fender wells

Weak air conditioning... 134 is just not that cold

Street racer perception by others on the road. Cant tell you how many guys rolled up and asked what im running or if i wanted to race.

Catalytic converter heat shield rattle (was fixed by using a metal hose clamp from home depot)

Water collection in the rear tail lights.

Various cheap plastic plugs used to hold panels down. They always tend to chip or snap.

soft spare tire cover... wish it were stronger.

Just to name a few off the top of my head.

not really any regreats other than the already mentioned ins. and theft.

Who cares about drinks.. my #1 rule is no food or drinks in the car.. just the thought of spilling soda or whatever beverage in the car is UHH gut wrenching
