Default Leak Down Test / Compression Test Results.

I have a 2000 ITR. Had a few bent valves last year and it got fixed under warrenty. I didn`t know much about this specific Acura Dealership, but as the years go on now, It's just been horror stories with them and my car Plus other cars there.

So I've found a mechanic who is well known to work with honda engine's and such. I have ahd nothing but big smoke clouds coming out of the exaust at High RPM's Around 7,500 - 8,000 and apprently when i shift It stinks like **** and also big amount of smoke blowing.

Camco Acura here in Ottawa Ontario Canada says this is compltly normal, which I know is not normal and incorrect. I could understand a little bit of smoke (honda is known to blow a lttle smoke at high RPM's) but nt to the amount I am. I go though tons of oil aswell.

Here are my results as to the Leak Down Test / Compression test that was done today.

Leak Down Cylinder 1 2 3 4

32% 25% 28% 20%

Compression 230 225 230 235

These are the results I got.

When we did the leak down you could hear the air coming though what sounded like the Piston Rings and you could feel a nice little breeze coming out the Exaust (Some stronger than others) This car has not been running right ever since the valvejob and this Dealer Ship is apprently known for fucked up jobs.

I know personally 3 people that have had tog o back and get their valvejob's redone because they were done incorrectly. I am open to comments / Other idea's which could becausing all this smoke as well as why my leak down tests are kind of high.

What numbers are pulled from a nice running well ITR? What is considered High, what is considered low.

Sorry for the post, Just very curious as I have had nothing but problems and wanting to get this bad boy straightend out.

Thanks alot sorry for the long *** post!

your compression looks good, your block should be fine.. but leakdown doesn't look too good, i don't think it should pass 20%

Well seeing as how you got your bent valves fixed for free (how you conned them into doing it - I haven't a clue) - I would say you got what you paid for.

Sounds like you need another valvejob at least. Maybe the initial damage that was done wasn't repaired properly in the first place
