Default Carbon fiber hood vs stock hood weight?

what is the difference in weight? i currently have a JDM hondaparts ZC carbon fiber hood (it doesn't have the under coating in fiberglass that most do) so its really light. does anyone know the weight of the stock crx hood vs a cf hood. a guy at work was arguing with me that it doesn't save that much weight but in my case it did. i don't have the original hood anymore.

Stock 2G CRX hood with latch, insulation pad and squirters ~35lbs. Not sure what your cf ZC hood weighs, but whatever you drop is off the highest part of the front of the car. Lower center of gravity, better front to rear weight balance, etc.

all that carbon fibon and weight deduction get you a few pounds lighter big wow.. unless you a hardcore drag.. but for daily street driving most people that have a cf are for cosmetics.

a few tenths faster from a carbon fiber hood? i dont think so, its only about 30 or 35 pounds weight savings. approx. 100 pounds weight savings equals 1 tenth......thats about what happened for me a couple weeks ago.

i dont see how 100 lbs is only 1 tenth...doenst make sense. Take a b18b and run it in the teg stock. Then put the same b18b with everythign the same in a crx it will run more then 4 tenths faster then the teg...that lil caluclation i believe is not that accurate.
