Default GSR Internals Question

Ok if you have a B18C1 and you use the type r camshafts and pistons and rods wich is the best to use ctr or itr. I heard that itr pistons and rods are best but ctr cams are better. Would you go this route or go ahead and save for skunk II cams and JE Pistons and things. This motor will have around a 75 shot on it.

So you are going to run high compression then squeeze on it?

Look it's all about compression. You want a high compression, get the CTR pistons. ITR/CTR rods are basically the same. ITR Rods are lighter than GSR rods, but GSR rods are stronger.

If you dont up the compression while running those Stage 2 cams, you wont be using them to their full potential.

JE Pistons: You going to run 13.5:1 CR? Doubt it. You going to run a custom size 84/85mm bore? Doubt it.

Stick with the CTR pistons + ITR/CTR rods and Skunk2 Stage 2 cams. And squeezing on a motor with that type of compression is not recommended.
