B-series tranny issues (take a look)
B16 '99 SI tranny
what could have done this?
the casing has some pretty scary marks in it.
heat? crappy fluid? excessive power? floating metal bits?
The friction dampners (both of them) were dead and pieces were floating around everywhere.
Fluid was very black and both cv seals were ruined.

ouch...
the countershaft looks pretty bad!
Was the countershaft bearing locking up? This is the only thing that I can think of that could cause this... I would try and locate another countershaft from either an SI, or a GSR tranny... (they are the same part number.)
I think GSREV has a couple laying around, give him a PM.
That reverse gear is pretty normal, I wouldnt worry about it.
