I got a GSR tranny in my 94 integ. It has been making funny noises and grinding in third at high rpms. I am thinking about getting it replaced or rebuilt. I have a friend that can get a place to rebuild for $500, is that a good price? Is there anything I should do to the internals... gears, syncros, lsd while it is out. I am thinking about lsd. Do I have to replace the clutch ( 1.5 years old ACT) or flywheel? I am not sure what to do. I barely know anything about trannys so I might sound stupid.

The next option is to get a used tranny which I found to be about $1000 +.

$500 for a rebuild is good but make sure they fix it. also, how do they know its $500 before looking at the insides?

 

it is one of his friends...I guess he got a special hook up.

Well a friend of mine rebuilds trannies for around 250.00-300.00 so if I were you I would check around some more.

500 is a good price if they r gona drop it and put it back in...as far as for LSD...LSD kicks ***...but dont GS-R tranny's come with LSD. i pretty sure they do..if not hell yea man

NO gsr's trannie did not come with lsd
only itr's came with lsd
