Default CEL- How to read the code?

The light on the ECU blinks but it doesn't appear to be in any pattern... just a constant blinking.... wtf?

if you sit there long enough and COUNT the number of blinks, there will be a noticable pause, and then start to blink again. the number of blinks between pauses is the code. if there is more than one code, like 4 and 9, it will blink 4 times, pause, then 9 times, pause, then 4 times....

Right and if it doesn't blink at all but stays on you really got problems. Seriously its easy, do a Search and get the error code descriptions, count the blinks with ignition on or car running. Real simple to do.

I have sat there for at least a minute and got no pattern at all. I am normally able to read codes just fine, on my ITR and even my old 86 teg with the blinking ECU... this just does not have a pattern at all. Does it still use the long-short system? 10 is long and 1 is short? There are no longs, just short, short, short, over and over again, with no noticable pause in between.

It is an ecu from a 91 civic si, motor from a 91? CRX Si.

well its the same o2 from the previous motor... the engine misses occassionally at all rpms at all times.... sound like a primary o2?

I'm skeptical because it does this from a cold start immediately.
