compression check #4 cylinder just stuck it in my ass NOW WHAT!!!!????
okay this is in response to my blowby post....
compression numbers
#1-205
#2-200
#3-205
#4-105
so i know now my rings are bad my question is now what do i do as far as rebuilding??? my goals are to have 300 whp with this rebuild and still keep a fairly high compression. Do i need to have my block sleeved when i rebuild??? Can i just buy pistons, rings, rods etc. for use with my stock bore??? is this worth it??? what is recomended for components and where is a good place to get them????
thanks guys

i poured oil in the cylnider and it brought it up....i wish it wasnt the rings what else could it be..valves????
yeah could be the exhaust valves. generally you test once without oil to see if the rings are sealing and if you get low compression test again with oil. if you get the same results its probably the exhaust valve if compression increases slightly its the rings

still looking for advice on a setup....what bore do you think i should run??? i was thinking about sending my block to Golden Eagle and have them sleeve it and build the botom end. What do you think??? i dont want a 500+ monster but i want more than i had before this (259 whp). Thanks for any opinions...
