Default my custom spark plugs, hehehe

Went to the track yesterday, here's the setup in a nut-shell.
D16Z6
JRSC@10psi
Hondata s200b w/ nitrous controls
crower rods
arias pistons 9:1

Car was originally tuned for 100 shot on pump gas. That put me in the 12's but it wasn't enough . I switched it to C16 and upped the shot to a 120. Dropped me another 10th and gave me a few extra mph. This weekend I had a bright idea to try a 150 shot for the hell of it, doing a full rebuild this winter and going turbo. Anyway, we put a GSR fuel pressure regulator on the rail which bumped fuel from 42-49psi, truthfully I think my a/f was pretty good all day. Made 4 passes with no problems until I felt a miss in 4th gear. Pulled plugs and I had melted a ground strap off a plug. This was on the NGK V Power with a heat range of 9. I didn't have any 9's left so I put a BK7 in. Guess it was a little to much for that heat range because it blew the ground strap and porcelain right off the brand new plug. Once again this was halfway through 4th, the car didn't miss at all in and gears before that. Think it was excessive heat?

sorry about the horrible pic

Plug on the left is just the electrode. Plug on the right is one that I melted the ground strap off of.
Edit....
BTW, the last pass car shut down at 1,000ft and still went 13.0 at 96mph. I hit the brakes before the trap trying to catch the first turn off

Friday night on way to pick up a block from CRX Lee, the B&M FPR locked open bypassing all fuel back to the tank. I lost power for about 30 seconds, then everything was fine.

Now if that would have happen on Ewater on a nitrous pass, goodbye Z6!

Not to mention 3rd gear is gone and clutch won;t hold.

I decided to sit out. Hopefully be ready for next spring.

you can see how the electrode ground is partially missing in this pic. This is the NGK V Power 9 plug after 5 hard passes.

So I was out of NGK 9 plugs and I replaced it with this brand new BKR7E that made 1 pass. Once again, the miss was only about halfway through 4th gear both times and I got out of the throttle right away. I'm guessing it was due to excessive heat. What do you think?

too much timming, remeber 4th gear is at the end of the run and your probably in that gear the longest and the motor is going to be at its hottest point. Id drop the timming down some.

Thanks for the input guys, timing may be a problem but why did it go 4 passes and never miss a beat? Seems like if timing was off I would have felt it in the first or second pass.
The NGK 9 plugs made it several passes and without a problem, the BKR7E only made 1?

Probably is a timing problem. Do you know about how many degrees of timing Tom took out with the Hondata?

Not sure how much he took out, we tuned it conservative for the 100 shot and it screamed hard and loud for a long time. The car wanted more so I gave it to her without Tom's permission, hehehe.

I dont think its the timing,I think your 440s are past thier max w/ a 150hp shot. You said when you where using .052 (about a 90 shot) it put down 251whp/227tq and even then your Injector duty was around 90%..so with the 150hp shot your injector duty is WAY past 90%,not good..You could probably get away with 550s but if that was my set-up mixing juice with boost,I would run 720s.

Hey Cody, I can make you a set, eh? Pretty easy actually, just spray a 150 shot on top of 10 lbs of boost un-tuned.
