Default PL9000 tranny code?

It's an 90-91 (two grooves on input shaft), but the code is PL9000. I've never heard that one before. Looks like it *could* be a misstamped PL3000, but, I don't know.

Has anyone heard of that tranny code?

i have 2 PL3/9000's - one is Si and one is ZC - these PL numbers are casting numbers for the back half of the case and have to do with the bearing sizes - they don't always indicate what the gearing is - most of the time, the PL3/3000 or PL3/9000 is a Si but the ZC's have the same numbers - i have had a 91 DX that said PL3/3000 and have had 88 Si that said PL3/A000
