Default Hood Gauges

anybody run mechanical gauges on the hood musclecar style? i'm thinking about putting a mechanical oil pressure and mechanical fuel pressure on the hood so i can look at them through the windshield.

what's everyone's opinions on this?

Most domestics hide them in the CAL on their hood. Do what you want. your car your money.

you'll need a rear cowl hood to do that, and the ricer companies make them. it's possible, but you'll have to customize it. unless its a show car i say no go

i have the cervinis cowl hood on my 00 si. i think its the best hood that ive seen so far. it has room for 2x 2 1/16" gauges in it.

guess it kinda depends onthe gauges you are using. if you are using mechanical i would be a good idea. with mechanical you have fluid running to the gauges for them to operate. and that has to be run through the dash and interior of the car at some point, hopefully nothign goes wrong and they don't leak. it would be bad to have oil leaking on the inside of your car. then again if it's done properly you have nothing to really worry about. gauges have been run on the inside for years, so just make sure it's done right.
