i have never heard of anyone having to provide the SSN in order to get something shipped ! it has no significants what so ever. I have shipped and had stuff shipped to me ( for big $$$ amounts ) and never needed SSN.

Ask him y he needs it, and if he insists then I have one u can use 855-4073-707

I think customs wants HIS SS#...not the person it's being shipped to.

typically they want the seller's Tax ID or SS as a tax reference. The only thing I could see is maybe Customs is keeping track of the sale for tax reference against the buyer since they can't really tax someone in canada selling it. It might be classed that way since it's a $$ car part... ?
