New pics of my car sporting BSA 303 wheels 15x6.5 5x114.3 12lbs *56K warning*
I was at the CSCS lapping event held today at Toronto Motorsports Park. It turn out to be a pretty nice cold fall day, with a mix of sun and clouds, and sprinkle of rain at times.
I had a great time there with the many ITR's and Subaru's in attendance. More ITR's than I expected. Nice to meet you itr1244! Thanks Arthur for organizing the convoy and putting us R's on the A-list.
Today was my first time on R compounds. I went with Toyo RA1's. After a couple of sessions they were getting better. Driving on R compounds is an experience to say the least.
My tires were mounted on BSA 303 wheels size 5x114.3 15x6.5 40 offset. They resemble the Enkei RPF1 wheel. Weigh 12lbs and are inexpensive. $150 a wheel. It's a good alternative to those looking for a different wheel choice.
Here are some pictures from today...

Just curious why you did not want to go with a 15x7.......
None the less.......

i was really hoping someone didnt post pics of their car with new bling wheels in front of their house, and all the hard core R owners say how cool it is and whatnot
some nice action pics for once
any reason your passenger doesn't appear to have a helmet on?
Thanks for the compliments guys.
Regarding reason for selecting 6.5 instead 7:
There were no 15x7 wheels available for this style.
Regarding passenger wearing no helmet:
It was not required in this lapping event. I have one as you can see from the pictures and I wear it each time I go out.

Now that you have tasted R-comps you know you can't go back...</TD></TR></TABLE>
Thanks for the compliments. However credit goes to Lynn for the awesome pictures. Took years of practise
shooting from the sidelines on lapping days. But after looking at yesterday's pictures she's got a good eye at capturing action shots.
Yeah I won't go back to street tires on the track anymore. I don't think I was truly taking advantage of my new found grip yesterday, but with more lapping days with r-compounds I think I'll find my limit.

Nice shots!
Street tires suck. I once corded an R tire at a Solo2 event and they wouldn't let me run on it, so I ran the event on 3 Rs and 1 street tire. Left handers were amazing, right handers - holy crap - reminds me how crappy street tires really are.
