Default Solutions for a water pump situation?

IO got a problem, the bolts that hold on my water pump are striped out cause ing a nice fat coolant leak (BOOO Leaks!) Does anyone know of a product that welds aluminum together? Some kind of epoxy maybe?
I need to fix this **** and I dont want to yank the motor... Anyone have a similar problem?

heli-coils would be your most reliable repair....that is the way I'd go with something as critical as the water pump.

first of all how did your bolts get stripped ? tsk tsk bad installer. next are the bolts stripped out or is the block threads stripped because u said bolts if its just the bolts get new bolts.but if the block is stripped which i think is the case but if the block is stripped, rethread teh block and use bigger bolts. yeah u wanna weld the pump on the block what happens when u gotta change the water pump. i thought u were master mechanic seth what happen. like yoru 15.8 3 cylinder a6 with bolt ons on street tires with full interior.

Stuff it asswipe, The block is not striped, and no the bolts arent striped. I torqued them to 9 ft lbs as the honda manual says... What hapened what the BOLT (Singular) I thought had striped the block actualy snaped off inside the block (POS BOLT!) its only one of them so I think I will just go and get some Extra Strength Locktite and see if that wont hold in the coolant. I realy dont want to drop the motor at this point, I just want to drive my damn car... I can deal with that ******* bolt later.

LOL!

Sorry I find this amusing... I DID THE EXACT SAME THING when I was doing my swap The problem is, the bolts for the waterpump are all different lengths. You put a long bolt in a small hole, and that's why it snapped. It happens to all of us sometimes.

I fixed it by carting the engine onto my dad's truck and taking it to a shop to be drilled and retapped. It didn't need helicoil in my case so that saved me some money. Just think... if it leaks, it *could* impregnate your timing belt with water and coolant, softening it, and then causing it to snap. Just get it fixed!

However, there was a problem; one of the bolts (the top left one) didn't want to go in right, although I knew it had to. I took it out and compared it to another bolt; it was the same length and thread pattern.. so I put it back in and finger-tightened it with the rest. Same problem. After that, I got my socket set and tightened all the bolts in quarter-turn increments up to 9ft-lbs, as the manual suggests, except for this one bolt. It wasn't anywhere near where it should be - in fact, it was so far from the pump's mounting surface that it would be absolutely no help at all. So, I used the socket set and tightened it up until it was getting tough to move, and because I wanted to be careful I used the torque wrench to make sure just how much pressure I was putting on it. I slowly moved it up to 5...6...7...8... whoa. Suddenly, it twisted in my hands, and I knew something was bad. Very bad. I pulled the torque wrench away from the engine, and there, sitting in the top of it, was the head of the bolt. It had sheared right off at 8ft-lbs. I must have cranked it too damn hard when I was using the sockets... and I wasn't even going hard at all! My god, that's a big ****-up. So, I'm going to have to a) mount the water pump with four bolts, and hope it stays sealed enough with the four to not leak/distort, b) run a ring of RTV sealant around the water pump so that it won't leak - and again, hope it doesn't distort from only using 4 of the 5 bolts needed, or c) try and get the ******* headless bolt out. I choose to go with point A for now until I think of something else. I can't put the timing belt on yet, so no rush... good God, I fucked up my engine, big time.</TD></TR></TABLE>

You meen an EASY-OUT? You dumb ****. I already got one.
Secondly There isnt enough room for my drill, I even have the 90 degree angle drillextension and I still couldnt get it to fit. So I am going to unbolt the frunt and rear mounts and angle the engine upwards so I can hopefully get at it. Im gonna Heile coil two of those holes anyway.
******* ****, a little *** problem turned into a big *** problem just because I didnt look at the book.

CivicKiller and I have beef, its nothing against you gus at all.
I tried lifting the engine and using an easy out but it didnt work, the bit ended up going off to the side and drilling into the threads so I am going to see if this JB weld will work... I bought some liquid gasket too, I hope this **** holds up cool.
