Default Clutch/flywheel finally in

YEAH! The clutch has been sitting in my basement for like 4 months. It is a type R clutch assembly and CM aluminum flywheel. It took me like 16 hours to install, don't ask. Anyway, I LOVE IT! The engine is a bit more responsive and the clutch feel is wonderfully soft yet detailed. Most importantly, when I release the clutch now, it actually grips! Suprisingly, taking off is no problem at all. Exiting corners is much more confidence inspiring because not only does it grip, it doesn't hardly bog at all. Also, that annoying grinding sound from my release bearing when in neutral is gone too. Thank you to the people that helped me with the stripped starter motor mounting bolt once again, and also to Owen The Soyboy for helping me through IM's.

Yes, the flywheel definitely makes a difference in engine response and pickup. I finally got the chance to get on it for one kiss of redline in 1st, and it just chewed right through it. The worst part of the installation (odd quirks like stripped bolt heads aside) was getting the passenger side axle out. That alone took me like 1 1/2-2 hours of work. The other part that sucked was the exhaust. I couldn't get the rear cat bolts apart so I just dropped the whole thing off the hangers, and dropped it on my head in the process. Everything else was akward and patience intensive as usual, but worth it in the end.

one cold back at you for the help.

Why did the passanger axles take 1.5 hours? And why did you undo the exhaust?

Strange. Took me 2.5 hours for the whole install.

HX Guy-the passenger axle took me so long because I was trying to pry it with an unsuitable screwdriver. The thing kept on bending and not doing anything to pop the set ring out. I finally reconsulted the Helms and saw it called for a screwdriver with a 1/2" diameter shaft. I then got a suitable tool (small prybar, could not find that big of a screw driver) and it popper out in about 20 min. max. Also, please keep in mind that I am not that great with tools at this point, but getting better.

1fastGSR-I am not sure how much faster my car is now. The engine is just more responsive at everything. I havent done any redline to redline runs yet, but from getting on it like I have so far the engine definitely revs faster, though it is not jaw dropping and awe inspiring. It is plenty streetable. I really don't have any trouble taking off, though I don't know about launching, haven't done that yet. It weighed 7 lbs 5.6 oz at the post office. I would recommend it for the $280 it costed.
