Default Del Sol to EG front end conversion (What does it take)

Like that title says, does anyone know exactly what it takes to do this? Besides the obvious; hood, fenders, headlights, corners, bumper and possibly core support.

just from the looks of it, it'll definetely take some bodywork/shaping,

look at the fenders, sols dont have the headlights shaped in perfectly like that, and eg civics dont have the shape of the door mixing in with the fender like that.

yeah, you would probably have to cut and weld the front of an EG fender and the back of a del sol fender.

Looks like a custom job as other have noted. You will probably need the Del Sol 1/4 panels, and the EG 1/4 panels, cut them in two, and weld together, then sand, fill, prime, and paint.

Looks pretty damn cool!! Id say go for it, but I would imagine that it takes quite a bit of bodywork! Best of luck and post up here when you get it done!!

I know a lot of Del Sol people put the EK front end on their Sol. A friend of mine has it and all the did supposedly was EK hood, fenders, bumper, bumper support, lights, and core support.

I think it looks pretty good. I'm for sure that it is not a direct swap out of anything. None of the front end parts are the same between the two of them.

that looks damn good. like they said, you would prolly just have to custom weld the sol and eg fenders together.. everything else should be self-explanitory..

i have redone the front end of my civic before and i can tell u just about everything u need to do this. u will need the civic fenders, hood, lights, bumper, and radiator support for it to fit right. alot of bondo!! and a really steady hand to cut the two fenders and match them to the civics. like a post before u will cut and weld the fenders from both cars. u will also need to paint the engine bay unless u wanna have a car thats got welding marks all in it. well i hope that helps.
