Default h22 or h22a

which would be overall better to build up for a turbo, btw it would be stricly for drag. what are the differences?

perhaps you meant h23 in your title because the h22 is the h22a just some people leave off the A.

because i know there are h22a and h22a4 which are in the 5th gen

oh and btw the h23 is better stock for turbo due to its lower compression. but if you spend the money and rebuild the bottom end of an H22 then boost it you will have a beast on your hands. boost + VTEC = yeehaw!!

Mainly, yes. Some may say the ecu is mapped different but there's no proof although likely it is.

For boosting a lower CR is better, but regardless bossting a stock H22a is a risky business. I only know of a couple people doing it successfully with a LOT of tuning.

i wouldnt take a chance on boosting without building. so pretty much it doesnt matter, right?

If you're building aka sleeving then yeah it doesn't matter what block you have. It's mainly the pistons.

and the piston rings which are the weakest part of boosting a vtec lude theyre always first to go boom
