h22 or h22a
oh and btw the h23 is better stock for turbo due to its lower compression. but if you spend the money and rebuild the bottom end of an H22 then boost it you will have a beast on your hands. boost + VTEC = yeehaw!!

Mainly, yes. Some may say the ecu is mapped different but there's no proof although likely it is.
For boosting a lower CR is better, but regardless bossting a stock H22a is a risky business. I only know of a couple people doing it successfully with a LOT of tuning.

If you're building aka sleeving then yeah it doesn't matter what block you have. It's mainly the pistons.
