question on building a motor(rod & piston related)
i have a friend whos building a b18c5 for boost, around 10 lbs. heres all what hes using
stock block, stock bore, has been checked at a machine shop
eagle h-beams
je pistons, low comp
knife edge crank
etc etc etc
the question is, on the eagle h-beams, theres a four digit number on the rod AND the end cap. i know that you have to keep the correct number cap with the correct number rod and i know that once the cap is on the rod, the numbers have to be on the same side. but does it matter which way you install the rod on the piston? (obviously assuming the piston is installed the correct way, intake reliefs are noticably larger) theres obviously only two ways it will go, but does it matter which way?
