when looking at the engine bay there is a sensor/device on the upper right corner of the intake manifold and it has 2 vacuum ports and a cap on it that you can acually remove and put back on. Anyone know what this is??

 

its just a little black round cap that goes on the top of it, im just trying to identify, because i cant find it in my manual

i dont know where my camera is, if anyone has an up close pic of an ls motor, i could point it out easy!!

there is a little black **** on top of it, the **** comes off like its plugging a vacuum source or something not needed..

its right in the corner of the ls intake manifold, with that little black cap pointing straight up

Bad pic, I know. The evap solenoid is the black thing sticking up right in the middle of the IM. I don't have anything like you described on the right corner of the manifold. Mine is OBDII spec, so maybe that makes a difference.

well, it kinda helps, look right at the brake fluid canister, then look right across to the intake manifold, its right on that corner(

OBD1 also, sorry i didnt say earlier!!!

 

I just went out and looked at that little nub sticking out on that corner of the IM. It's just a piece of the IM cast iron or whatever it's made out of. Looks like something could mount there, but it's not anything on my car. I guess the OBDI is different.

 

yea, there is a sensor there on my car,a nd im wondering if thats whats making it idle a little weird after running for a while

 

You're referring to #18, which the website only lists as "valve assembly" and the little cap #16 is listed as the filter for that valve assembly. I would have to check my helm's to see what it is but I don't have it w/ me.

 

yea, number 18 in that pic, i couldnt find out what the hell it is or what it does at all
