Why do you need a brake kit for the rear lower strut bar.

I thought you can just slap it on like the front sturt bar in the engine bay.

That's a completely different thing. He's talking about sway bars not strut bars. The sway bar is also called an anti-roll bar and unlike most of the other bars people put on their cars, it actually helps in handling. It attaches to the rear lower control arms and the subframe. The reason you need a "brake" kit and i have no idea why you are calling it that, is because when you put on a bigger swaybar it might sometimes be much more than your subframe can handle. Nuff Said
