I own a shop here in Va. I installed a set of custom seat frames for a old friend. I basically built them be durable for any size person any shape person what not so forth and so on. We got them installed while I was designing the frames he installed racing harnesses. Well they've only been in the car for a couple of days now and This morning (sunday) I happened to be following him home (accident and road was closed so I had to take the long way which was behind him) and we were going along and I came around a bend and found dirt on the road and I only thing remember seeing tires and then his car spin. He pulled it over and i was wondering what was going on. I though maybe he spun out at first. When I got out of my car my deep fear was true. He has rolled his car. Long story short his car was gone but his life was safed. I feel personaly responsible for his life because it was my product in his car. My frames were in tact. His life was intact. Hell he didn't even have any bruising. Seat belts saved his life. Especially his racing harness. His TRD seats contributed as well. If my seat frames would have broke he would have been tossed around like a rag doll and the belts would have probably broke several bones while holidng him still. This will probably be my one and only service announcement. I had to share. It's scare to watch this happen and then watch that person get out and walk around like nothing even happened. Nite.
Glad to hear he's okay.
I hope he had a roll cage, because if he didn't then he's damn lucky that his roof didn't collapse - because he would be dead or permanently paralyzed.
Harnesses without rollover protection
