Default DTR experiment

For those of you who are attending CMI this weekend, Danny Tran (DTRFAB.com) will be using his mild steel street header on the race car to promote his new products. DTR is committed to only sale products that are proven to perform. This weekend we will take the cheapest header DTR has to offer (mild steel) and put it on the race car to test its performance down the 1320. On the cars only pass on Saturday, the car went 11.04 @123. We realize that a considerable amount of power could be made using the race designed header but this CMI is a perfect time to test a production header that anyone could use on their own street car. Built for racers, designed by racers, tested by racers. Stay tuned for 10's tomarrow.

"I know my products because I race my products" -DTR <-- so very true

HyTech's and DTR's. John is a great guy and has always been very helpful to us through the years. DTR has recently been willing to lend us a hand with his craftmanship since the R&D side of racing can become quite expensive. With constant motor modifications, the quest for the perfect header seems to be quite a battle.

I saw that and was wondering why he didn't have his race header on. Did you guys run any tubing after the collector? Or was it ran "open header"?

Danny did hit a 10.xx today, someone told me. Not sure of the exact time. I'm sure Danny will post it later.

Yeah 96dc2 it went 10.84 @125 today. He used a little 90 degree piece on the end to keep the exhaust from going into the car as much as possible. Sorry VtecVoodoo I was trying to explain why he was running that header because many people (like 96dc2) were wondering. If I was an employee or owner Vtecvoodoo, then maybe I would. I do see your point but unfortunately H-T would be a very boring site if its viewers were never informed about products. I'm just a friend trying to spread the word...It is no different then telling people "here is a link to my site". Back to the subject... mission accomplished.

Cool, So he did a 10.84@125 on the mild steel street open header?

What about the 11.04@123, what was he using on that pass?

ohh come on ryan, everybody here plugs their friends/affiliates all the times.

Danny deserves some props for his entry into 10 secs. And considering that he build his own chassis and header, that's pretty unique. If we put together a little press release type of page on dtrfab.com and post a link from here, does that count as a advertisement or prefessional PR release?!

I know what you`re saying, Frank. This forum is just turning into a huge popularity contest. Every post is "look at my new header", "who`s the best head porter", etc. There`s hardly any tech left.

I can bitch all I want, but unless the posts get deleted you guys are free to do what you like I guess

Btw, SS didn`t ship your bar. I`ll swing by today or tomorrow and make sure it gets in the mail. Did you leave the wires for the camera in the car, t00?
