Default slicks only dropped my time by .1??????????????

ran the slicks last night and wasn't to impressed, whats the deal?????????

pre-slick
launch at 3500 rpm

r/t .418
60 2.16
330 5.895
1/8 8.970
mph 80.73
1000 11.611
1/4 13.857
100.79

slicks
launch at 7000
13 psi in the tires M/T 22/15/8

r/t .406
60 1.970
330 5.665
1/8 8.755
mph 79.97
1000 11.452
1/4 13.753

my guess is that i might have to hold it in third just a bit longer before going into 4th. what do you guys think???

what is your suspension? your 60' time should be at least in the 1.8s.

from the looks of it, at the 330, you gained at least .2 already. I think its at your shift points... that you may have lost momentum. best guess I can say is at least .3 to .4 gain with slicks under the best conditions.

maybe you should lower slick pressure a litttle bit, you should be able to cut 1.8 60 ft.

that was my first thought as well, try 10 psi, and go down 1 psi after each run to about 7psi, see what works best... trial and error

maybe you don't have enough pressure in the tires? your speed is noticebly lower so your top end is suffereing but at the 1000 you had almost .2 quicker. I say raise the pressure to about 18-20psi, it's just a suggestion.
